June 2024: Take Space

soul nourishment

Take space, lay low
Remember the hand that holds you
Leave room for surprises.

Melt into life
Soften into its embrace
Soak in awe, wonder, and compassion.

In Nordic tradition and ancient culture, there is the web of wyrd, spun by the 3 sisters of fate; co-creation woven by the hands of divine intelligence both within and without.

The web of wyrd represents the interconnectedness of life- past, present, and future.

The place where timelines converge to create the opportunity for us to be in co-creation with life.

That pregnant space lives in relationship.

If we don't carve out space to cultivate and be in relationship with ourselves, it's hard to do so with the rest of life.

If we don't give ourselves permission, the mind in particular, to lay low and dissolve into feeling, we miss out on a depth so rich.

It's all too easy and convenient to get sucked into and identify with what can be seen, don't forget the unseen love that holds it all.

We can plan all we like, prepare, cross the t's and dot the i's, but life will happen- leave room for unexpected sweetness and support to trickle in, in the least expected of ways.

Practice being received by life, like in this moment can you feel life receiving your presence? melt into it.

Let it embrace you; swaddle you.

Come undone.

Practice receiving life, like can you feel it flowing into every pore of your skin? absorbing awe, wonder, and compassion for the wild experience of being alive.

What would you see if you peered through eyes of awe, wonder, and compassion for your lived experience?

Remember the benevolence that carriers you, that is you, and let it seep out of your being.
