tending the soma, soul, and spirit.
Welcome ,
I am a somatic guide, yoga and ayurveda practitioner, and integrative psychotherapist.
My work weaves ancient wisdom, experiential insight, and scholarly study into a felt experience of aliveness, meaning, and wholeness- where the seen and unseen meet. This work is rooted in an ethos of holism, regeneration, and the numinous.
My approach is a synthesis of my studies in yoga, ayurveda, meditation, animism, spirituality, somatics, mental health, trauma responsive care, expressive arts, and social work. I believe social work is rooted in story, the soma, and the sacred- story as a thread of interdependence, somatic as a pathway to embodied vitality, and sacred as a lifeline to the wider than.
I support folks in uncovering and orienting to their embodied and psychological wellbeing through the different seasons, cycles, and chapters of life byway of somatic experiencing, soul work, yoga and ayurveda, and the mythopoetic.
In practice, I bring a sense of care, compassion, and curiosity to group and private sessions as well as a deep reverence for the teachings that have crossed my path, integrating philosophy, theory, cosmology, mythology, ecology, spirituality, and heartfelt intention.
For those on a journey…and we were never meant to do it alone.
The Journey by Mary Oliver
One day you finally knew
what you had to do, and began,
though the voices around you
kept shouting
their bad advice–
though the whole house
began to tremble
and you felt the old tug
at your ankles.
‘Mend my life!’
each voice cried.
But you didn’t stop.
You knew what you had to do,
though the wind pried
with its stiff fingers
at the very foundations,
though their melancholy
was terrible.
It was already late
enough, and a wild night,
and the road full of fallen
branches and stones.
But little by little,
as you left their voices behind,
the stars began to burn
through the sheets of clouds,
and there was a new voice
which you slowly
recognised as your own,
that kept you company
as you strode deeper and deeper
into the world,
determined to do
the only thing you could do–
determined to save
the only life you could save.
